My song shall be always, lo Chandos Anthem numero 7, HWV 252, inizia con una Ouverture piena di brio, che Handel riutilizzò più tardi per l'Ouverture del Concerto Grosso Op. 3, n° 3. Si è dimostrato che il terzetto "Thou rulest the raging of the sea" che a volte viene immesso in questo Anthem, non è di Handel, per cui non deve di norma inserirsi nelle esecuzioni Handeliane; il punto culminante dell'inno comunque è è senza ombra di dubbio l'aria molto evocatrice del tenore "God is greatly to be feared". Handel eccelleva nella descrizione di emozioni vive e forti, e questa aria , con la sua linea vocale perentoria ed il suo accompagnamento orchestrale vibrante per archi ed oboi all'unisono, è di certo uno dei pezzi più riusciti.
